  Activities Report of IVS Kolkata, Mayer Bari - 2009

• The Birati centre of IVS, Mayer Bari, witnessed many celebrations like Birth Anniversary of Sarada Ma, Guruma, Swami Vivekananda and Thakur Sri Ramakrishna held in a spiritual fervour and gaiety. Also Mahashivaratri and Doljatra was celebrated there.

• Under the programme of spreading the message of Vedanta devotees of IVS visits different publication houses regularly from where many people became well-wishers of the movement and under the influence of Vedanta a renowned news paper Sangbad Pratidin started publishing the inspiring words of Sri Bhagavan. Also the Doordarshan covers various programme of IVS in order to spread the message of Vedanta.

• Ram Navami was celebrated in the presence of Sri Bhagavan at Badu in the suburb of Kolkata.

• Under the door to door campaign of Vedanta many workshops, seminars and sitting were held at different places in the initiative of Mr. Ananda Mondol, Mr. Jiban Roy, Mr. Dipak Das, Mr. K. L. Banerjee and Mrs. Rina Hore, Mr. Biman Ghosh etc.

• IVS Carries out many activities like assisting people in their need etc for which raising of fund is necessary where Mr. Pashupati Guha contributed a lot by collecting necessary funds for the society's activities.

• Under the welfare activity programme people are given assistance for dialysis and medical attention also relief materials were sent for the Ayla victims of the West Bengal. Blankets were distributed, and also economic assistance is forwarded to many needy students.

• At the Birati centre of IVS, Mayer Bari, Guru Purnima festival was specially celebrated in a grand faschion with the divine presence of Sri Bhagavan.
