Achievements of International Vedanta Society

Our achievements are very particular with respect to our essence. IVS was formed to spread the message of Vedanta from door to door. Thus our achievements are likewise -

• As a spiritual organisation we have thrived at making all our members and well-wishers stand firm on spirituality, realise the self and then work for their fellowmen. Today, most of its members and well-wishers have a thorough knowledge of spirituality and many have realised the self depending upon his or her capacity and qualification to grasp this subject.
• IVS stands as a light and hope for many frastrated youth because many of them after joining us are enriched by the power of Atman. These youths are working for the betterment of the people and in them some have shed all desires of worldly pleasures.
• IVS removed worries and agonies of many house holders for whom life had come to a standstill once but now they blossom with the eternal peace and bliss.
• To a man whose death is always a next step smile is a rare he carries. But many men and women now experiences a spontaneous flow of bliss within, for they know now that death is only of the body and not of the self.
• Many small and poor children have found a noble way of life at IVS. Earlier their life was only condemned by their parents and neighbours. But comming at IVS they have developed self confidence, the urge of acquiring knowledge and to stand upright on their own feet.
• In a brief span of 20 years IVS has four official areas of operation or branches with Guwahati as its centre. Many towns and cities of Northeast India, North India, and South India have enormous well-wishers of IVS. Work is on to convert those into full-fledged units and branches of IVS.
• IVS today is well established and recognised in Guwahati, Kolkata and Varanasi. In Varanasi in a short period of 3 years IVS was able to acquire its own land, win ennumerable hearts including intellectuals, spiritual personalities and organizations, business class and the common mass.
• The work of spreading the message of Vedanta to the whole world is being primarily carried out from Varanasi and Kolkata. Various national and internationally acclaimed figures have come in contact with IVS and are offering their valuable excellence for the cause of IVS.
• Seminars, talks and sittings are organised to faciliate Vedanta in our day to day activities which are attended by various knowledgeable persons of this field. Everyone appreciates the mode transfering the ideal.
• IVS successfully spread the message of Vedanta to many contries of Europe, North and South America and also to the countries like South Korea, Japan, China etc. The society has its well-wishers in countries like Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Spain, Germany, France, England, Holland etc.
